What technology does a typical office need?
Most offices of 10 to 100 people need the same core stack, sized to how the team actually works.
Structured cabling
Cat6 or Cat6A drops to desks, printers, TVs and conference rooms, plus a Cat6A run to each access point, all labeled and tested.
Firewall and switching
A business firewall and managed PoE switches from Cisco, Cisco Meraki, Aruba, Fortinet or Ubiquiti UniFi, with VLANs to keep staff, guests, phones and cameras apart.
Wired WiFi access points
Ceiling-mounted WiFi 6, 6E or 7 access points placed from a coverage design, not a single router in the closet.
Door access
Card or mobile credentials on the suite entrance and sensitive rooms using UniFi Access, HID, Hikvision or Brivo, with schedules and audit logs.

Why does office WiFi drop during meetings and video calls?
Office WiFi usually drops on calls because there are too few access points for the number of people, or the access points are fighting each other on the same channels. A conference room with 12 people, each with a laptop and a phone, can overload an access point placed down the hall.
We design coverage room by room, put an access point where meetings happen, and wire each one back to a PoE switch. We also tune channels and power, enable band steering, and give video and voice traffic priority so a large download does not freeze the call.
Guest WiFi goes on its own network and VLAN, isolated from staff devices, file shares and printers. Visitors get internet access and nothing else.
The internet connection matters too. We look at your upload speed, since video calls send as much as they receive, and can add a second provider with automatic failover if a dropped connection would stop the business.
What should you plan for when moving or building out an office?
Start the technology plan as soon as you have a floor plan, because cabling has to go in before ceilings close and furniture arrives. We walk the space, mark drop locations with you, and coordinate with your landlord, contractor and internet provider so the network is live on move-in day.
We also plan the closet: where the rack goes, whether it has power and cooling, and room for the switch count to grow. Old cable left in the ceiling from a previous tenant can be identified and removed where the building allows it.
Many Orlando office buildings require plenum-rated (CMP) cable above drop ceilings used for air return, and some landlords have their own rules for pathways and closets. We check those requirements early so the build-out passes the landlord's review and the building's inspections without rework.
Phones and printers are part of the plan. VoIP phones are moved or ordered, printers are assigned fixed addresses on the right network, and the internet circuit is ordered with enough lead time, since providers often need weeks to install a new line.

Can you clean up a messy network closet?
Yes, network closet cleanup is one of the most common office projects we do. We map every cable, re-terminate where needed, install cable management, cut patch cords to length, and label ports and panels to TIA-606 so anyone can trace a connection.
The work is planned around your business hours, often in the evening or on a weekend, so the office does not lose connectivity during the day. You get before and after photos, a network diagram and a clear port map.
A cleanup is also a good time to fix what you cannot see. We check for unmanaged switches hidden under desks, old equipment still on the network, default passwords and missing firmware updates, then add a UPS if the closet has none.
How do you handle medical, dental, legal and CPA offices?
Offices that handle patient or client data need a network built with that data in mind. We set up the technical pieces; your compliance program and advisors remain the final word.

How many WiFi access points does an office need?
It depends on square footage, wall construction and how many people and devices connect at once, not just the size of the space. Conference rooms and open work areas usually need their own access points. We decide the count from a coverage design during the site assessment.
Should guest WiFi be separate from our office network?
Yes. Guest WiFi should run on its own network and VLAN so visitors get internet access but cannot see your computers, printers or file shares. We set this up on every office network we install.
Do you offer managed IT support for home users?
No. Managed IT and monitoring plans are for businesses only. For home projects, we handle design and installation of WiFi, cabling and cameras.
Can you help with an office move in Orlando?
Yes. We plan cabling, closet layout, WiFi, internet cutover and phones so the network works on move-in day. Starting early matters because cabling needs to go in before ceilings close and furniture arrives.
Are your office setups HIPAA compliant?
